Wardrobe malfunction or..........CONTEST!!

CONTEST, CONTEST, CONTEST, CONTEST, CONTEST, CONTEST!!!

MEDIOCRE AT BEST, BUT THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO BE A LITTLE GREENER AND HAVE A LITTLE CREATIVE FUN.

So yesterday at work my shoe broke. Yup the part of the flip flop that goes right between your toes separated from the shoe. I tried to staple it back together, that didn't work. So I tried to tape it, and that didn't work. Finally I tried to staple and tape it back together, and that didn't work either. So I just gave up.

Yesterday I was on someones blog, I can't remember who, but she had found a piece of Styrofoam in her house to which she turned it into this great board that holds jewelry. All she did was use some left over fabric and some cute pins.

This sparked my newest project and my first contest. YAY ME!!

Is this shoe problem really a malfunction or is this broken shoe a.....(YOU FILL IN THE BLANK)

Please submit your ideas as to what I could turn this broken shoe into to re-purpose it?

WHAT DO YOU WIN???

The person who submits the most creative, useful idea will get the re-purposed shoe mailed to them.

The only other catch is the winner, once they receive the shoe must write a post on their blog describing this contest and how you came up with the winning idea. Don't forget to post a picture of the re-purposed shoe on your post and link back to my blog.

This will hopefully inspire more people to re-purpose even the most random of items found in there homes, parks or wherever.

So send me your ideas, I'll pick the best idea Monday morning!

Creatively lacking.

Your blog is very entertaining! I'll be following you, as for an idea for the repurposed shoe; I'll have to think about that and post when I've come up with something. ~ Thinking...

come on where's the love. I know this is hard as it's an odd item. BUT YOU CAN DO IT!!

I'm thinking cutting the shoe in half since it's so thick, tell me where to go from there?????

This broken shoe could be a couple of things:

* the centerpiece to a tropical themed zen garden
* the new slide for a little girls barbie dream house
* add some wheels and you've got a cool 'ride' for some power ranger toys
* a bobber you can use when fishing (only if the shoe floats)

Such a fun idea!

Those are great ideas. I'm loving the car idea. I think I could possibly gather some items to make a pretty cool truck out of this.

OK, I'm stretching here but maybe a one of those things you hang from the rafters of your garage so you know you are in far enough/not too far in.

Not very genius, but neither am I...

I've seen a pair of flip flops used as an accordion scrapbook album...put the soles together and do accordion paper in between. :)

Hope you will be able to make it to the Decorating Dilemmas party! :) Thanks for stopping by. :)

I bet the shoe floats! Carve it out a little then you have a bath time boat!

Thanks for the visit!

Not sure what you could make your flip flop into, but here's some instructions on how to make your shoes like new...with ribbon!

Ha! That totally happened to me in college. I was in town for a movie, and didn't want to go home, so we went to Kinko's and tried to staple it. Didn't work either so I think I ended up rubber banding it to my foot.

There is a shoe garden in Alamo Sq Park!
