Life Is Good! Award show!

I won an award, thanks to Jamie over at THIS IS ME CONSEQUENTLY!

The LIFE IS GOOD AWARD!

What do you do when you're bored?
EAT!

Are you an Autumn or a Spring?
Autumn, bring on the rain!

Quick! You're stuck at an airport for hours, and the only options are crossword puzzles, or an old novel no body's ever heard of. Which do you pick?
Crossword puzzle! I would have liked it to be a word search as that's my favorite, but crossword puzzles will do.

Jane Austen or Emily Bronte?
Who are they? Am I that un-educated?

Do you feel prepared for the five other questions coming your way?
Sure why not, how bad can they be, right?

Who’s your hero?
My Momma, DUH. Please!

Favorite word?
F**k, Sh*t Yeah I have a potty mouth! Oh and SERIOUSLY!

Are you one of those “checklist” people, or are you a “wing it and hope everything goes well” sort of person?
Lists, Lists and more Lists when it comes to WORK. At home I like to wing it, let it all hang out in the breeze.

What phrase has stuck with you in your life?
DUH!

If you were to choose between coffee and tea . . . which would you go with?
Do I even bother answering this one. Seriously, This is SMELL THE COFFEE LISA! I'll take a non-fat, sugar free vanilla Latte please! Thank you very much!

Who do I think deserves this award?
How about....

MIMI
BETTY
LACIE
EMMY

It's been a while, I was starting to feel lonely....

It's been awhile since I've won any awards. I was getting a little lonely. Then BAM, BAM I get hit with not ONE but TWO. BUHHHHH YAHHHHHHH Son!!!

My first award was given to me by:

Maria over at Pocketful of Bliss

and by

Momma Such over at RaisingMy4Sons

How pretty is this award. So bright and beautiful!! Okay let's get down to business.

Here are the rules I must follow when accepting my sweet reward:

✔ Put the logo in my post or within my blog.

✔ Pass the award onto 12 fellow bloggers

✔ Link the nominees within my post

✔ Let the nominees know they have received this award by leaving a comment on their blogs

✔ Share the love and link to the person who gave you the award!

As I stated, It's been awhile since I've received an award. I really can't pick 12 blogs to which I think are deserving of the sunshine award. So I'm giving this award to all who comment. When you comment I visit your blog and reading your blogs bring SUNSHINE to my world. Okay that was cheesy I know. lol What are you waiting for? Take the award already and no I'm not being lazy, you really deserve it for putting up with my posts!

UP NEXT!

Viki over at Frugal Mom Knows Best

If you accepted the sunshine award, then by golly you are also accepting the Gorgeous Ladies of Blogging award.

Have you been receiving awards on a regular basis?

Enjoy!

Loyalty and You!

I have to admit I've been a bit behind lately on accepting awards various people have awarded to me and I am so sorry. I've been meaning to create a post about this, however the amount of comments I am receiving on a daily basis, plus visiting all my favorite blogs is very time consuming. I don't know how people with 400 followers and 60 plus comments a day do it?

I'M LOVING THE COMMENTS SO PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING.

It's just taking me 2 days at most to visit and comment back, so please be patient!

I thought it only appropriate to take time to write this post now because TAMELA over at A BRUNETTER MAKING IT ONE DAY AT A TIME, awarded me the DRAGON LOYALTY award! As with all the blogs I read, I think this is a must visit blog. I visit her EVERYDAY, so you should too!

I feel I am a very Loyal blogger and I TOTALLY deserve this award! I'm not cocky, just very confident. LOL I mean I do visit all the blogs on my blog roll on a daily basis and am devoted to visiting all blogs of those who comment on my page. It's very time consuming but worth it all, because there is so much great content out there, I'm constantly learning and growing from your blogs.

So THANK YOU! If it weren't for you and your blogs, I wouldn't have a reason to be LOYAL!

Okay enough with the Sappiness of this post. Lets get to the award and what it all entails!

Rules for this award!

1) If you have a blog, post it on your blog with a link back to the site who gave it to you; CHECK!
2) Leave them a comment on their site, email, etc. to let them know; CHECK
3) If you don't have a blog but have a website, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter or other type account, post there with a link back; and NOPE I DON'T HAVE ANY OF THOSE
4) Pass this on to 3-10 loyal fans. YOU GOT IT DUDE!

I have so many Loyal Followers this is going to be hard for me to choose. To be fair, cause I'm all about being fair, I'm just going to open up my email and pick the ten people who have sent me multiple comments in the past two days.

I'M THROWING IN A TWIST, BECAUSE THESE GUYS ARE SO LOYAL, I'M NOT EVEN GOING TO TELL THEM THEY GOT AN AWARD. THEY WILL HOPEFULLY BE SURPRISED WHEN THEY LOYALLY VISIT MY BLOG!

Sheesh, someone take a pin and pop my ever inflating head! PLEASE!

1) Amy over at Keeping up with the Schultz
2) Kimi over at So Many Kids, So Little Time
3) Lee over at I want to make that
4) kyslp over at Stir-Fry Awesomeness
5) Betty over at Cut and dry
6) Yonca over at Yonca is Cooking
7) Emmy over at Emmy Mom One Day At A Time
8) Mighty M over at The Might M Family
9) Trac over at Welcome to our World
10) Viki over at Frugal Mom knows Best

A FEW more for GOOD MEASURE:

11) Evonne over at All you need is love
12) Speaking from the Crib
13) Mary over at That Design Gal
14) Tricia over at Thoughts and Threads
15) Alicia over at It Ain't Easy Being Cheesy

I could keep going, but I have to stop and get back to work.

Like I said If I missed you because I know I have way more LOYAL followers then this, please just comment and I will update the list to include you!

P.S. I wrote this before I added the top commentators to my blog. I don't have time to update this post, so if you are on my top commentators list, but not here, then take the award!

ADD ON'S

1) Celyn - She doesn't have a blog, but she still leaves me funny, horrific, sad crazy comments on my blog and yes in real life. What a pain in my butt! lol

TEN THINGS ABOUT ME, Cause I have the Best Blog EVER, Cause I'm an Honest SCRAP!!!

Yes I am!!!

And Momma Such, thinks so too. Thank you very MUCH!! If you have not been to her blog, you have to check it out. I mean she is raising 4 boys!! I can barely keep up with the one boy I have! lol Just take my word for it and visit her blog, you won't be disappointed!! I promise!!

The Best Blog Award rules are:

1) To accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award and his/her blog link.

2) Pass the award to 15 other blogs that you have recently discovered and think are great! Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.Wow, 15 other blogs...how fun!

Here goes...

15 blogs is a lot. OH Man, this could take all day to pick 15 of my most recent coolest Best Blogs ever!! I think all the blogs I read are the BEST!! I can't possibly pick just 15.

So I'm giving it to every blog to which I comment on. So If I comment on your blog, take this award.

YUP, It's yours. Because you know I only read the coolest, bestest blogs ever!!

I also won this great award, Honest Scrap, I am so blessed to have received it from Twenty Something Mama!! If you have not been to her site, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR. She writes the best posts ever and the pictures of her babies are to drool over!! Yes they are that cute, almost as cute as me. Which says a lot cause I'm like totally cute. Duh have you seen my pictures?

Anyway, here are the rules of this award:

Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design.

Show the 7 winners' names and links on your blog, and leave a comment informing them that they were given the "Honest Scrap."

List at least 10 honest things about yourself.

1) I have absolutely no patience for ANYTHING. Like you haven't noticed this already. I mean it's September and I've already got my blog decked out in Halloween! My Christmas shopping is usually completed the day after Thanksgiving as well as my tree purchased and decorated all before December even rolls around.

2) I love, love, love my hoodies, jeans and flip flops. Life doesn't get more comfortable than that!

3) I have 7 tattoos - lady bug on my top right foot, a 4 leaf clover on my top left foot. I have my sons name on my right ankle. I have a sun on the back of my neck. I have a butterfly on my lower back. I have a butterfly with the 4 rules I believe we all should live by on my right wrist (love, respect, order and reason) and I have a flame and Chinese symbol of beauty on my left wrist.

4) I've pierced my tongue 3 times (no not all at one time, 3 separate occasions) and I just recently let it close up again. This time I think for good. I've pierced my eyebrow 3 times, I haven't had any jewelry in it for years, but the hole is still there. I've pierced my nose twice, and I've still got that one in.

5) I'm addicted to change! Not money, but change in my life. I can never decided what I want or how I want things so I'm always changing it up. New cars every 3 years, changing my blog design or furniture in my house. Changing my hair color or cut and style. I love change!!

6) I love reading books, however admit that it is very difficult for me to find one that will hold my interest.

7) I have a problem with always needing to be stimulated and learning something new. I taught myself to sew and crochet thanks to You Tube. I've taken bartending classes, cake decorating classes and tax classes all for fun. I've yet to do anything with any of those certificates. Sold Mary Kay for like a month, I don't recommend anyone to do this. I've been working on a lot of crafts recently. Who would have thunk, me and crafts? I'm the least crafty and or creative person ever. It's fun though and I love it. What will my next learning adventure be? I don't know yet, but I'm sure when I figure it out, you'll all be the first to know.

8) I can't stand pee or poo on my carpets. It's why I don't have a dog or any other pet that can pee or poop on my carpet. I think it's disgusting and cringe when people say that their pets have had an accident in their house and think it's okay! YUCK!! Thank goodness my kitty is liter trained.

9) I have an addiction to cell phones. I'm always wanting the newest and greatest phone, but can never get it because I'm always stuck in some contract and refuse to pay $300 for a phone I'm probably going to drop or break anyway. I really want the new MY TOUCH, in white, by T-mobile. I love my Blackberry, don't get me wrong, however have you seen the My Touch!

10) I bite my finger nails. I can't help it. I've tried to stop many, many times but I can't. The tips of my finger start to tingle, it's a serious addiction I don't think I'll ever stop doing. Even when I put on fake nails, I bite those and eventually bite them off. I think it has to do with the fact that why I grow out my nails, I hate how they get all dirty or the white parts are not the same on each finger. It drives me nuts. But seriously if I don't but them my finger tips tingle. Sometimes I do it without even noticing.

So there are my 10 honest facts. Now off to give this award to 3 wonderful blogs!! Sorry I don't have time to award it to 7 people. However if you are crafty, feel free to take it cause you deserve it!!

Frugal Family Fun!- Out of all the blogs I read, she definitely deserves this award. She comes up with the craziest and what looks like funnest crafts ever to do with her daughter.

Mama Mel- As you know she makes the cutest little monkeys!! Did you see that wonderful quilt she made? Wow!!

In this Small House - A blog I've just recently found and growing to love. I love her witches hat! Check her out!!

Peace I'm outta here!!

Who knew!

Who knew that writing posts about my adorable kitty would win me an award? Who knew that posting a video with Lionel Ritchie's song, HELLO, would be the post that actually scored me the award?

Who Knew?

Certainly not me, but SupahMommy did! Yup she did, cause her kitty kitty and my kitty kitty could be twins, or Mother and Daughter as they look alike.

SupahMommy created this award specifically for people who post about their cats. Yeah you can't just grab this award, you totally have to earn it, which is why I'm so honored!! YUP, the Lionel Ritchie song is what won it for me.

Here is a link to the post!

http://smellthecoffeelisa.blogspot.com/2009/09/move-over-beckham.html
Or to see more about my cute little bundle of not so much Joy Kitten Chloe, just read my post from yesterday. It's like raising a child.

Speech, Speech. Okay, Okay here I go...Please don't play the music to que me to wrap it up.

I'd like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to have a job and earn money to be able to buy my video camera. Without it, this video would not have been possible. A special thank you Lionel Ritchie and for him singing the song HELLO. And most importantly, thank you to Peter Bunny and Chloe who starred in my video. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have this award. You both are amazing. Thank you to my blog fans, for reading my posts and commenting. You all are amazing!

Peace I'm outta here!!

It all starts tonight 5:30pm (pacific standard time)

Pittsburgh Steelers vs the Tennessee Titans (PLAYED IN PITTSBURGH)

The BF has the Steelers as his defense in his fantasy football league, so we need to cheer them on even though I prefer that the Titans win. I love the color blue they have in their uniform. I know I'm such a girl!!

Alright Football fans, here's the scoop on how this will work. Every Thursday I will blog which teams will be playing the MONDAY NIGHT GAME and place a Poll on my RIGHT side bar. Don't forget to vote for who you think is going to win. Then on Tuesday I'll blog about who won the game and post the results of the poll.

SO THIS MONDAY NIGHT - SEPTEMBER 14th - Who will be VICTORIOUS?

Since there are TWO teams playing this MONDAY, I need to go with the CALIFORNIA teams (SUPPORT CALIFORNIA - yeah no, I can't do Arnold like he can)

SAN DIEGO CHARGERS VS OAKLAND RAIDERS (PLAYED IN OAKLAND) - 7:15pm (PACIFIC STANDARD TIME)

This is a no brainer for me, the RAIDERS SUCK ASS. Have been sucking ASS for years. My vote the CHARGERS of course. Hey who else thinks LaDainian Tomlinson is cute (LT still plays right? LMAO I'm not football expert here, If you know facts and I'm wrong please set me straight) I thought the Vizio commercials were great!!

Keep your football comments to a PG-13 rating please, I don't need to start a war up in here. lol

SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

GO VOTE, EVEN IF YOU DON'T WATCH FOOTBALL GO AND VOTE. IT COULD ACTUALLY BE FUN!!

EVERYONE IS DOING IT!!

I almost peed my pants, okay I tinkled a little bit, when I saw this and just had to create one myself.

I'm dying this is hilarious. Does anyone else think this is funny?

Enjoy!!

Soda Machines, Awards and MEME's. What does it all mean.

Over the weekend I was tagged and given another award. I'm the bomb and we all know it. I can't believe how lucky of a blogger woman I am. Thank You, Thank You. No pictures please, I haven't had my daily botox injections or my extensions put in.

Mimi over at Living in France presented me with this wonderful Award. Please check out her blog, she writes wonderful posts and is a dedicated commenter. She is hilarious, if you don't believe me check out her post "A Fart by any other name.....Is still Frikken embarrassing." If that post doesn't pull you in, I don't know what will. lol Thank you so much MIMI, for thinking of me. I must award this to four blogs, so here I go:

Emilisq
Mama Mel
Valerie
Yonca

I've been tagged by Twenty Something Mom. Check this out and everyone is invited to participate- MEME. Don't forget to check out her blog, you have to see her post A Poet who didn't know it. OMG what wonderful pictures and how cute is that poem?

Here are the rules of this
1. Collect the book that you have most handy.
2. Turn to page 161.
3. Find the 5th complete sentence.
4. Cite the sentence on your blog.

The Friars Club, Encyclopedia of Jokes - (Hey I'm at work and this was the closest book to me. I could have grabbed "Quickies" but I thought this to be more appropriate. What my company writes Jokes, Horoscopes etc for facebook, we have some crazy stuff happening here all the time.

Okay so this book, yeah racial jokes not very appropriate. Lets try again as I guess I was wrong.

The book Quickies, Fascinating Facts About the Facts of Life. Our celebrity content writer recently left the company and she placed this book, plus others on her desk. THIS IS NOT MY BOOK. I promise. She can attest for that.

"Although (their) actions are reprehensible, we agree that the voyeurism statute, as written, does not prohibit up-skirt photography in a public place."

Okay there you go. Sorry I'm not sure I like this MEME. Hmmm what do you think? I think I need someone to recommend a book to me. I haven't read anything since Sunday at Tiffany's.

SODA MACHINE, SODA MACHINE. I WANT A SODA MACHINE. The moment you've all been waiting for. So my sister purchased a Soda Machine. When she first told me I was like, "What, yeah that's really healthy." till I went on the company's website. This was nothing like I expected it to be. After reading all the information about the machine, I actually think this is pretty cool. Here is the website: http://www.sodastreamusa.com/

So here is what they say about nutrition:

Controlling Sugar, Carbs or Calories? Welcome to SodaStream
If you're looking for great tasting soda, but on a low sugar or no sugar diet plan, just cutting back on carbs or concerned about calories, SodaStream is for you. With a SodaStream home soda maker and over 25 delicious regular, diet and caffeine-free soda mix flavors to choose from, you'll enjoy freshly made, great tasting soda that fits your health and dietary needs.

Regular Soda mix flavors contain less sugar, calories, carbohydrates and sodium than national drink brands. Regular flavors are sweetened with a combination of sugar and Splenda® brand sweetener. Diet soda mix flavors contain no sugar, no aspartame and are sweetened with Splenda® brand sweetener.

SodaStream even has all-natural, unsweetened flavor essences for making refreshing, lightly flavored sparkling water. MyWater flavor essences are available in Orange and Lemon-Lime - just like squeezing a wedge of citrus into your seltzer.

So go ahead and close your eyes and take a sip. There's no mistaking the delicious taste of all your familiar favorites including Cola, Lemon-Lime, Root Beer and a whole variety of fruit flavors.

Here is what they say about Environment:
Americans drink more than 55 billion liters of soda and seltzer each year. That's almost 200 liters - about 600 cans - for every adult and child in the United States. And, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, that adds 10 1/2 cubic feet of packaging per American — over 3 billion cubic feet - in our landfills and recycling facilities every year. With a SodaStream home soda maker, you'll enjoy freshly made, great tasting seltzer and soda in just seconds ... and you'll be helping our environment by drastically reducing waste from store-bought cans and bottles. And with no batteries or electricity, you can use your soda maker in your kitchen, outdoors on your patio or deck, or on your boat or RV.Reusable Bottles Reduces Packaging:

No bottles or cans to recycle or throw away
Saves thousands of containers for a family of four in a year
Carbonating bottles last for three years

Highly concentrated soda mix minimizes packaging A family of four could slash their home soft-drink-related packaging usage by over 90%, simply by using a SodaStream soda maker. That's a whole lot of cans and bottles that won't end up polluting our environment. SodaStream's plastic carbonating bottles are reusable for up to three years, and Penguin glass carbonating carafes will last even longer than that with proper care. A typical American will toss away over 1500 aluminum cans (and/or hundreds of plastic 2-liter bottles) over three years — while a SodaStream owner will use just one or two reusable carbonating bottles or carafes that come with the home soda maker.

SodaStream's highly concentrated Soda mix syrups also dramatically reduce waste. A single bottle of Soda mix will make 12 liters of soda, the equivalent of 34 cans or six 2-liter bottles. Choose from over 25 regular, diet and caffeine-free flavors including Cola, Root Beer, Lemon-Lime and fruit combos like Cranberry-Raspberry, Apple-Peach and Pink Grapefruit. Take a sip, enjoy ... and feel good that you're helping the environment.

Saves Energy: No Electricity, No Batteries, No Transport Miles
No batteries or electricity
Reduces energy used to manufacture bottles and cans
Reduces gas and pollution from shipping packaged beverages
Eliminates pollution from batteries

Operating without batteries or electricity, SodaStream home soda makers are highly energy-efficient small appliances. Appliances that work without electricity improve the environment by cutting down on the emissions generated by electrical plants, giving us cleaner air and ground water.By operating completely on power supplied by the compressed air in the carbonator - an easily renewable fuel source - SodaStream does not contribute to environmental pollution made by batteries. Empty carbonators are returned to SodaStream to be cleaned, inspected and refilled with CO2 drawn naturally from the air. Carbonators are reusable as long as they remain in good condition.

Store bought soda and sparking water travels hundreds of miles from the bottling plant to the store shelf, usually in trucks that get fewer than 10 miles to the gallon. Instead, SodaStream uses the water that's already in your home, saving literally tons of greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere.

Tell me would you buy one of these? What do you think about it? I'm considering it. I love the sparkling water idea. Hopefully my sister will comment on this explaining what is she loves and hates about the machine. I really thought this was going to be like the fountain machines you see in Fast Food restaurants. The downside I think is you can't make a cup of soda, you have to make a whole bottle. I think it would be more convenient to make it buy the cup and be able to choose your flavors. Like the Keurig Coffee maker. If you don't know what a Keurig Coffee maker is, OMG you're missing out. I LOVE MINE!! You have to google it!!

Lack of Sleep + Hectic Crazy days = Grumpy Lisa Anne

I feel like I haven't slept in days. Probably because I really haven't. Since Friday my life feels like it's been turned upside down. Not in a bad way, just overwhelmed with so many things going on. The 100 degree heat surely didn't make anything better. I love sweating like crazy all day and having to carry paper towels in my hand to wipe the sweat off. On top of that me having to get up at 5am to drive 2hrs to work this morning, just pisses me off. I'd like to thank the two huge trucks who rode my A** this morning with their high beams on. Thank you, If me driving 75 mph in the slow lane is too slow for you, then F You, seriously, go around me. It's times like that when I wish I could have just slammed on my brakes, but I was just to tired to play that game. Told you I was grumpy. Wednesday can't come fast enough when I can at least sleep in till 7am. The joys of being able to work from home one day a week.

So I have so much to write about, in fact I checked my email this morning and I've won 3 blog awards and haven't even had a chance to accept them. I will do so today in this blog.

Here are the events of my weekend.

RJ's Birthday party was on Saturday. I was in charge of making the cake. His party started out as a Spongebob theme but then RJ changed his mind and wanted a Cars birthday. Even though I'd been planning to make this cake for about 2 months now, of course I lagged on getting what I needed to create my masterpiece. After a 2hr drive home Friday night, I picked up D and A (didn't even step in the house for 5 minutes before I was off) and headed off to Michaels Arts and crafts at at around 7pm. Hey, I had 3 50% off coupons and I needed A and D to redeem at the register. Only one coupon per customer. Lame. So a quick trip to Michaels turned out to last a little longer then I was anticipating. Hello, I should have know this, I'm a shop-o-holic and A and D don't help any when they bring me to the clearance section of Michaels. Oh you should see all the ribbon I bought for just $1. Well you'll see one of them when you view the Quirky bags in this post. So anyway, Thankfully D offered to help me make the cake, and of course I accepted. I started at 8pm and D came over about 9pm. We finished what we could finish that night, of the cake, and I went to bed around 1:30am.

Here is a picture of the cake. I frosted the cake and D made the cute sign in the back of the cake. It was a huge hit, everyone loved it. The fresh strawberries in the middle were delicious. Thanks to D's wonderful strawberry cutting skills! I've also included some pictures of other cakes I have made for different occasions throughout the past year, for you to enjoy.
I thought this cake would be easier to make. It was really tricky getting the red frosting on the top of the cake to be smooth. I didn't just spread the red frosting all of the cake either as I didn't want the roads to turn red so I had to frost it in sections. The dirt road is actually brown sugar. After the fact Brian told me I should have used Gram Crackers. Oh well, next time. How great of a job did D do on making the Cars sign? It really made the cake. I would have made the grass look better, but I ran out of frosting and time.

I made this cake last December for my nephews birthday. Everything you see here is edible except for the CD. The Wii remote turned out so good, as It actually looked REAL!! Thank you to whomever invented edible markers. You ROCK!! The actual Wii cake was almost a disaster to make. Cake is not meant to stand up on it's side like that, as you can tell it's leaning. I don't know how I got that to work out as well as it did. My little version of Christopher turned out amazing too. Who would have thunk that I could sculpt fondant. It looks just like him believe it or not. Especially the spiky hair. See how he is holding a mini Wii remote. I loved making this cake!
Hurry, Hurry step right up!! The evil clown cake. Yes I remember this one. One of my first cakes. I had to make it for my Wilton Cake class. The theme was learning how to make those ugly rainbow clowns. I didn't want to just put the clowns on a boring sheet cake, so I made this circus tent. You can't see it but I actually made a lake on the top of this cake. I used blue food coloring and piping gel. It looked just like water, wet and everything. I also used brown sugar around the water to make it look like a beach. This is right behind the clown on the right side of the cake. I searched high and low for a small train set, as I was going to make train tracks around the bottom of the cake, and it just didn't happen. What horrible piping I did on this cake. You can tell it's one of my first cakes.

I made this for a friend of mines coworker. One of the first cakes I actually sold. I totally free handed Spongebob. I couldn't believe how great this cake came out and I just slapped it together. You can tell I free handed Spongebob, just look at his hands, he has no fingers. I love what the confetti blower things did for the cake. I think they actually made the cake. You can't really tell but there are Jelly fish all along the borders of this cake. They were one happy customer. I think my Carebear cake, that I made, not shown here, came out a lot better.

This cake was my 1st experience using fondant. I think I made the fondant too think, but it turned out okay. Fondant tastes nasty, so I don't recommend anyone making a fondant cake that they are actually going to eat. They look pretty, but this is a cake, it's supposed to taste as good as it looks.

Finally, I made this cake for the fun of it. The BF loves fish and we had a salt water tank at the time so this was fitting. It was so easy to star pipe this cake. How cute is this? Do you like how I have the background of the cake looking like real water. Oh I love this cake.

So those are a few of my cakes. I have so many I could show you, but not enough time to keep this post going. I must move on to the rest of my weekend.

So in between the cake cooking and cooling, I also showed D how to sew. I gave her the sewing machine that was posted in a previous post of mine as I had just broken down and bought a new one. These are the creations I made that night, I was up till 1:30 am sewing that purse. How cute did the little bag D made come out?

How cute is this? It's a little bright and crazy, but the ribbon was only $1 for an entire roll and the fabric was $1.50 for an entire yard. I have cuter bags coming, these are just my practice bags.
I also made these two Friday night along with the purse and the cake. I told you I was a busy girl. Come to think of it, I don't have a picture of the one D made. I remember because the ribbon she used was different then what you see here. Dang. Sorry about that!! She did a great job though!!

Saturday morning I was up at 6am and drove 2hrs to pick up my son from his Dad's. I was exhausted from Friday nights cake making and sewing adventure. My back and knees where hurting and not to mention it was going to be about 100 degrees with not 1 but 2 birthday parties to attend. Thankfully the birthday parties were both across the street from house. They were both water parties too. It made it really easy to walk back and forth between the two parties. This morning all the guys were over at 9:30am for their fantasy football draft. Me, I had to hurry up and finish the cake (needed to add the grass, frost some cupcakes and put on D's sign). I also had to go with D to buy not 1 but 2 birthday presents all before 1pm. D and I went in on an indoor trampoline for RJ. Yeah that was a fun gift to wrap. It was a crazy day, running around and 100 degree does not sit well with me. I felt tired and bloated and sweaty all day long. My relief came when my sister requested that my son slumber party with her two boys that night. I ended up at D's house while the BF was at a comedy show (Cheech and Chong) and her husband A was at a card room. A nice little Girl time was a great ending to two long days. I didn't get to bed till after 11am and was up at 9:15 Sunday morning. I guess that counts as sleeping in?

Sunday morning I felt like crap and was still overly tired from all the running around I had been doing the past 2 days. Emotionally and physically burnt out. I had to get some work done for my second job. I had been putting it off but needed to complete it all before Monday morning. I spent 3hrs working all while hearing my son complain that I wasn't giving him enough attention. Sorry I have to work 2 jobs just to pay the bills and sometimes that's not even enough, plus my other obligations. The topper to my weekend was taking my son to his Dad's house at 9:15pm and not getting home till after 11pm (yes the drive is 2hrs round trip and he meets me in the middle). Then I had to get up this morning at 5am to drive to work. Lucky me!
So this morning, does the crazy ever end, my new car is now having problems. Great, this is just throwing another wrench in my knowingly already busy day. The dash keeps flashing "check fuel cap." Hello, I did, it's fine. What the heck? So here I am at work writing this, trying to hurry because today's going to be a long day. I have so much work to do it's not even funny. I feel like crawling under my desk and falling asleep. I need to call the dealership to get the car checked out, go to 3 banks on my lunch hour so I can make deposits and pay some bills. I just want to sleep, is that seriously to much to ask?

Right now I'm here in body, but certainly not in mind.

Have I lost you all yet? Are you my readers falling asleep and yawning saying, well Lisa this is the real world, you should live a day in my shoes? I say to each his own man.

I have so many blogs to catch up on and comments to reply to, that my brain hurts a bit just thinking about it. I'm looking forward to getting a good laugh or creative spark though. So here are the 3 awards I've won since the weekend.

Thank you to Vicki over at Frugal Mom knows best for giving me this award. Wow I just noticed she's given me two awards. Thank You!! That makes 4 awards this weekend. I feel blessed and saddened that I didn't get a chance to comment on anyone's blog since Thursday. I'm sorry. Anyway she has an awesome blog. You really should visit her, if you haven't already.

My 3rd award comes from one of my Favorite blogs to read. Amy over at keeping up with the schultz family. I love her posts and all the pictures she puts of her cute little baby girl. Thank you for the Splash Award as it is given to alluring, amusing, bewitching, impressive, and inspiring blogs. I know, I know I rock!!

Last but certainly not least, my 4th and final award is from Yonca over at Yonca is cooking. Thank you for this award. I really try hard to make sure I visit all of my favorite sites everyday, while still working 2 jobs and visiting new sites each and everyday. I'm a busy girl, I know!!

So I am supposed to pass all these awards, something I just can't possibly do. This post would go on for days, and I'm sure I've lost followers already from having to read this. I'm making up for lost days here people. So please bare with me. So these awards I am passing on to all of my readers and followers. Pick an award and take it. You all deserve them as much as I do!

So some good news before I end this long and drawn out post. Damn it Lisa, end this already will you? The good thing is, my Blackberry hasn't been vibrating in over a month. It sucks royally because I never know if someone has sent me a text message unless I check my phone.Well how is that good, you ask? Well, Since I'm not even a year into my contract and I didn't buy the insurance I totally thought I was going to have to buy a new phone. So I went into the T-mobile store on Sunday ready to spend $250 on a phone I didn't even like, but it was the cheapest they had only to find out my phones still under the manufactures warranty. Yay me!! So Blackberry is sending me a new phone! Well a refurbished phone, but who cares, I just saved $250. I should receive it in 7 to 10 days. So that was refreshing, even though I was at the T-mobile store for 2hrs on Sunday.

So that was my crazy weekend to which I still have not recovered from. Those are just the major events, of course, if it doesn't seem hectic to you then well I don't care. It was for me. =)

Longing for some real sleep and the heat to just go away! Bring on the rain!
Come on Rockstar Coffee Light Vanilla 15 oz drink, kick in already.

Spreading the smile!!

Frugal Mom sure knows best!! http://www.frugalmomknowsbest.com/. Stop it, I know what you are thinking. Come on already, this is getting really annoying, I'll figure it out one day, how to link the address. I will, I promise! Seriously. Anyway, back to what I was saying.

Frugal Mom sure knows best!! She has created this wonderful meme (what does that mean? I'm new to this people, bare with me). Spreading the smile, one blog at a time!! Beside spreading smiles, Vicki's blog also has great freebies, giveaways and over all some pretty awesome posts. You have to visit her, follow her even!! I give her 2 thumbs up. That's like a ten out of ten people, I only have 2 thumbs!!

Vicki, "hopes that we all have at least one nice thing to say to at least one person. One genuine, nice thing that might make them smile. Or even maybe something to thank them for. Let's spread the smile to as many faces as possible."

Because I'm about the nicest person anyone could ever possibly meet (teee heee! devil horns), she has passed this on to me. She knows I have so much happiness and kindness over flowing out of my bones that if I don't share it, I'll just explode.

So I'm spreading the happiness. There's no rules here, just spread the joy to whomever you think needs it, deserves it or doesn't deserve it. Whatever the reason, lets just make someone else smile today. We all know a little smile goes a long way and can make even the worst of days disappear, even for a moment, when we smile.

(blowing the fairy dust)

1) http://toddlerawesome.blogspot.com/ - Your patience with my indecisiveness in regards to designing my blog is uncanny. You really know the definition to customer satisfaction. You make miracles happen, and without you my blog would be plain and boring. So Thank You!

2) http://mamaswithdrama.blogspot.com/ - I get a smile whenever I read your blog, therefore you deserve a smile back for all the hard work you put into your posts. They truly are great!!

3) http://pocketfulofbliss.blogspot.com/ - You're a faithful blogger, I love your signature and your posts are just refreshing. You make me smile everyday, so right back at you!!

So If I didn't spread the smiles to you, it's not because I don't think you are worthy as you all are worthy. I've just been spreading awards and tags like crazy these past few days and I don't want to annoy people. There's only so many people I know on here and If I've missed passing something along to you, I'm sorry, I'll get you next time I promise!

My 2nd Award........Wholly Canolli.....

I'm definitely feeling the love. I just won my 2nd award and I have to say, I truly am blessed.

Again, I'd like to thank all my faithful followers and their daily comments. I in return really enjoy reading your posts. Without you I'd be nothing and with my limited attention span and knack of hoping from new project to new project, I probably would have not stuck with this blog as long as I have. For those who know me, a month doing the same thing, is a long time for me. So thank you!!

Please keep the comments flowing, I don't judge anyone for their opinions, so don't be afraid to put me in my place.

So back to my award, thank you so much to Emma @ http://toddlerawesome.blogspot.com/.

Not only does she have a wonderful blog, she does an awesome job designing them. I totally love the stars on her toddlerawesome blog. How cute is Ollie?? Right!

So here is my award. (applause, applause, applause)

I'm really grateful for this award. Since I am new to the whole blogging world, I'm still trying to find my footing and what I really want my blog to look like. Emma did a wonderful job at giving me my 3rd column and my contact button, to which I love. Once I figure out what I want my blog to really look like, she'll be the one I go to for the complete overhaul.

So here's to a few blogs that I think are lovely, and Emma you would have been 1st on my list (I LOVE YOUR STARS), but you just received the award, so sorry.

Anyway, here's to all the beautiful blogs out there. I know you are supposed to give this to 15 blogs, but I don't think I have enough time to do all that.

1) http://morph-ma.blogspot.com/ - Her ladybugs are so cute, and I love the red font.

2) http://pleasestickitinthefridge.blogspot.com/ - Sorry I know I tagged you yesterday, but I really like your blog design also.

3) http://keepingupwiththeschultzfamily.blogspot.com/ - This blog just makes me smile every morning. The pink and green is just so refreshing. And how cute is Alyce. I mean right!

4) http://www.pinkvanillacupcakes.com/ - Speaking of pink, this is another great blog. Every time I visit this blog, I want cupcakes!

Hoping one day my blog can look as great as all yours.

BOOO YAH SON! My First Award!!

This is so crazy, I was just tagged and right when I finished writing my post and tagging my fav blogs, I come to find I've been given my FIRST AWARD.

(applause, applause, applause)

I thought I would have a speech prepared for this exact moment, but didn't know when this exact moment would be so I don't have one.

So here it goes.

(clears throat, dabbing the sides of my eyes to wipe away the tears)

First and foremost, I would like to thank God for making the Internet possible. To my fans, yes without you I'd be nothing. Wait is this the same speech I wrote when I was tagged for the first time? Possibly, I'm too lazy to check. Anyway does it matter. I won an award and you didn't so there!

Thank you OH SO PRETTY http://ohsoprettyjewelrystudio.blogspot.com/, who's blog has been beautifully re-mastered and now has 3 columns after many hours of blood sweat and tears!! Congrats on being so technically savvy as we all know I am not.

So speaking of me not being technically savvy, I don't know how to officially accept the award and post it here on my blog. Ummm isn't there some code I just paste into the widget things in my layout section?

This is so embarrassing.

Can we take a commercial break?

Commercial break is now over!

As you can see I figured out how to "Accept my Award" WHOOT WHOOT.

Back to commercial break till I figure out who I want to pass it on to.

In need of some assistance, or a blogging for dummies book!

I've been tagged Again - I feel so loved!!

So I've been tagged again, this time by Jennie at http://jennielynnsstory.blogspot.com/, otherwise known as Everyday *Mis*Adventures, life with a toddler. Okay so some did tell me how to do that fancy thing to make it so you just click on her name and it takes you to her blog, but I forgot how and I'm just lazy if you want the truth. So ummm yeah just deal with it for now, okay?

All righty then, back to my mission at hand. I'm gonna keep this one short as I don't want to bore anyone and still full fill my blogger obligation and all.

So 5 things I love and that make me happy!!

1) MY BF, he makes me very happy. He might not think so all the time because I'm grumpy these days, but he does. If he wasn't around I'd be so lost and bored out of my mind. Thanks my Love!

2) My son. When he is with his Dad I notice I'm not as happy as when he is around, even though sometimes that can feel reversed as he can be a major pain in the butt. But in the end he's mine and the BF and I miss him when he goes to his Dad's.

3) Flip Flops. Yes I wear them all year round, even in the rain. They are so comfortable. If I was stranded on a desert island and could only bring 1 thing, it be my flip flops.

4) My Flat Iron. The best $250 I have ever spent. I've had my flat iron for 6 years now and it still works perfectly. I rarely have time these days to use it, but when I do have time to actually do my hair this is my go to hair tool. It's a CHI and I wouldn't trade it for any other hair straightener out there, and believe you me, I've tried them all. This is the only one that works for my hair and gets it salon looking straight. "Silky Smooth" as the Zohan would say.

5) Books. I love reading! My only problem is I am very picky as to which books I read. I could go months without touching a book, only because I just can't find one I like. Now when I find a good book, like my sisters keeper, I become engulfed in the book, even if it is sad. I just really enjoy reading and taking myself to some other place in time or world altogether.

So those are the 5 things that make me happy. No pictures sorry, I'm on a time constraint today.

Thank you again for tagging me, I look forward to being tagged again and again and again, till I have nothing left about me to say. Is that possible? I talk a lot and have a lot to say about myself so I don't think I could ever run out of things to say. So bring it on, tag me all you want, I'm up for the challenge.

Oh yeah I have to tag some people don't I? Okay here it goes....

YOU'VE BEEN TAGGED!!

1) Donnas Days @ http://donnas-dayz.blogspot.com/
2) Stick it in the fridge @
http://pleasestickitinthefridge.blogspot.com/
3) Oh so Pretty @
http://ohsoprettyjewelrystudio.blogspot.com/
4) Life Love and Lola @
http://lifeloveandlola.blogspot.com/
5) Mama's Losing it @
http://mamakatslosinit.blogspot.com/

Okay stop making fun of me that I'm lazy to turn your names into links. Give a crazy girl a break. It's one of those weeks, or months or years.

Anyway, what 5 things do you love and or makes you happy.

Sharing the love one tag at a time!

I've been hit, I've been hit.....I mean TAGGED!!!

So I woke up this morning and made my usual hour long commute to work. It's going to be a really busy next two days for me as It's month-end and there is a board meeting on Tuesday, so I may not have time to visit all my usual blogs and show love to new blogs I've found. So I apologize!

Anyway, when I got to work this morning, I logged onto my blog to check out all the new comments I received overnight and I was shocked to find out I had been tagged by

http://thatdesigngal.blogspot.com/

Sorry, I'm still new to the blog world and don't know how to just put her name so that when you click on it, it links directly to her site. Feel free to comment and let me know how. =)

Anyway you have to check her out. She is hilarious and I love reading about her craft ideas, recipes (OMG you have to read her post on APPLE PIE) and random posts about everyday life.

Thank you so much for tagging me, I feel so honored!!

So here's the deal.

1) Link to the person or persons who tagged you. - YUP DID THIS CHECK!

2. Post the rules on your blog. - UM ISN'T THIS WHAT I'M DOING NOW?

3. Write six random and/or revealing things about yourself. -
Oh GOD, I'M WARNING YOU NOW, SO DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU. CONTENTS OF THIS BLOG MAY NOT BE APPROPRIATE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

4. Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them. - OKAY THIS SHOULD BE EASY.

5. Let each person know they’ve been tagged and leave a comment on their blog. - DO I HAVE TO! BUT MOM!!

6. Let the tagger know when your post entry is up on your site. - YOU GOT IT!!

Six Random things about me:

1) I am a shop-o-holic. I cannot help it! I just love buying random crap I don't need. It's so bad that if I can't find anything I like or need, I'll just buy random crap for other people. So when I invite you to go shopping with me, you'll wanna come because who knows what you'll get to go home with. I seriously need SAA and a 12 step program to help my addiction. Like my profile says, I have champagne taste on a beer budget. It's no wonder I'm always broke. I'm a sucker for kids selling magazines and cookie dough. I'm the first person you should call up if your kid needs to sell crap for his or her school. Yup I'm the one spending $100 on wrapping paper and stationary I'll probably never use, but hey it's for the kids, right?

2) My favorite bands are 311 and Disturbed. You wouldn't even have guessed that because if you rode in the car with me. I'd most likely be blasting country music. I went on a road trip once from SF to LA with my friend just to be in a music video for Disturbed. I was in their fan club and it was my job to call the radio stations several times a day to request that their songs get played. One day I received an email from the head of the fan asking me if I wanted to be in their new video. Everything you could imagine bad, happened on that road trip. That's a whole blog post in itself. Here's a snippet: I may not have gotten arrested, even though I should have. Who knew driving 105 mph on HWY 5 was against the law and that you have to be insured. Not me? Apparently if you drive over 100 mpg you get thrown in jail and your car inpounded on the spot. It's called recklass driving. Who would have thunk it? Look it was 4am in the morning and I was going on my 2nd day with no sleep. Woe is me right? I did truly have a very good reasons for why I was driving that fast, beside the lack of sleep and wanting to just get home, we were being followed by some crazy driver. He would pull up behind me and put his high beams on, I'd move to the next lane let him pass and he would just move in front of me and slam on his brakes. I had to speed just to get away from him. And the no insurance thing, I just got my car and It's not my fault the paperwork wasn't processed in time. My Dad's favorite line, "How was I supposed to know. Anyway, I'm rambling again, sorry about that. In the end, I was upset to find out that the video had been pulled. Since it was right after 911, MTV refused to play the video because it had falling buildings in it and it reminded them of 911. They found it to be inappropriate. There went my shot at fame and fortune down the drain.

3) When I was little my parents forgot about me at church. Yup can you believe that? What parent does that, I guess ones with 4 crazy children. We were there to pick my brother up from catechism and I was playing on the bike racks. When I went back over to where they were waiting they were gone. I looked up and saw my Mom's friends van driving off with everyone in it. Seriously who forgets their child? Eventually they realized I was missing and my Dad came to pick me up. Do you know how damaging this is to a persons complex? We laugh about it now, but dang that's traumatizing. Still to this day I get angry when I think about that. Oh therapy, can you please fill the void?..........

4) I have this major problem with shoes, I hate wearing them! I am always in Flip Flops. Rain or Shine I have my Flip Flops on I don't care. I also have to wear jeans that cover almost my entire Flip Flop. If my pants do cover my shoe I get all insecure and uncomfortable, which makes me cranky and you don't want to see me cranky. So because of this, people always make comments to me about not having feet. HA HA HA, OKAY people it's getting old, I know my pants are big, it's called Bell Bottoms, the 70's are the new black. Didn't you know?

5) I played on a traveling soccer team for most of my youth. We traveled all over California and I have 2 fake gold medals to prove it. My team was really good and we were State Champions 2 years in a row. This was probably the greatest gift my parents could have ever given to me. I learned a lot about life on the road. I saw my first joint in the parking lot of a hotel in Fresno. I learned about my first Gang in Fresno also, did you know you shouldn't high beam someone driving with their lights off, it's their ploy to attack you. Or something like that. I also experience my first adult movie in Lodi. The girls and I would run from room to room watching the pay per view channel. Back then you could preview movies before being charged for them. A little light would blink on the cable box for about 2 minutes and once it went solid you were billed for the movie. We thought we were slick, we'd run from room to room watching until just before the light turned solid. I guess we weren't so clever, because the next morning when our parents went to check out, some of the rooms had adult movie charges on the bill. Oops. Thank God our parents had a sense of humor and laughed it off. Hey we were only 13 at the time.

6) Last but certainly not least, I can't be away from home for too long or I get panic attacks. This never use to be a problem until the past several years. I don't know what's wrong with me, old age maybe? I don't think it's as simple as just missing my own pillow and bed. It's not that I don't enjoy going on vacations, I just tend to get a little home sick. I could be with everyone in my family and all my friends and I'd say by the 3rd or 4th day I'm in tears over nothing and will just want to go home. So if you want to go on a trip me with, please be patient and have the tissues ready.

So those are 6 random facts about me. I know what you are thinking, I should probably see a therapist. I know this, but shouldn't we all?

So enough about me. It's time for me to TAG 6 of my blogging buddies. Is it you, or you or you?

Lets find out, and the winners are..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Oh remember I don't know how to do that whole thing where you can just type their name and you click on the name to go to their site. So until I learn how to do that, (hey I'm not always the brightest crayon in the box) you'll just have to deal with me entering their whole blog address.

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER:

http://pocketfulofbliss.blogspot.com/ - I love her blog and the pictures she posts of her son are always so cute. I realize she just won an award today and that I'm tagging her, but when you have a great blog like she does, it's inevitable, there's going to have to be autographs to sign.

http://prettygreengirl.com/- I love her blog. She has inspired me to go GREEN. Like I always say, I'm far from perfect and have a long way to go, but she just keeps me motivated. We should do a little something everyday to become more Green.

http://indiechickdesigns.blogspot.com/ and http://toddlerawesome.blogspot.com/- I have to give props where it is due. She did a wonderful job at adding a 3rd column to my blog and a contact me button. It may sound like something small and simple to some of you, but this was a big deal for me. She was very fast and professional and in today's day and age it's really hard to find someone like her. Besides helping out us technically challenged bloggers who are so not computer savvy, she is busy writing her own blog about her life. Oh did I mention her son is so cute! Check out her blogs.

http://3baybchicks.blogspot.com/ - I have to show my love for my local blogger friends. 3 bay chicks are from my hood and it's so refreshing to find blogs that are written near where you live. But it's not just their local status that drives me to their blog on daily basis. They are so funny and when I need a pick me up, I just turn to them. You have to check out their site, but before you do buy some depends and some tissues as they may make you laugh until you pee and or cry. I've got to get me that bright yellow "I hate everyone" sweatshirt. That's so me!

http://decortoadore.blogspot.com/ - I love this blog. I could only pray I to be as creative as she is. I really love the basket she made for her sons room. How cute is that!! I can barely match my clothes in the morning so this is my go to blog when I need great creative ideas. Not to mention she's very Green, you go Girl re-use and re-purpose. My new motto.

http://mamaswithdrama.blogspot.com/ - I LOVE THIS BLOG. It's about exactly what the blog is titled. All the mama drama one could imagine. She's super funny and I look forward to reading her posts every morning. I can't wait to read tomorrows Friday Five, if you haven't read it, be sure to check it out.

Okay, so that's it.

I'd like to thank all the little people who made this blog possible. And to my fans, without you I'd be nothing.

PEACE I'M OUTTA HERE!
