THEY'RE BACK

OMG! I was totally thinking about these the other day and how I wished they still made them. These were the best, back in the day when I was a kid.

So you can imagine how excited I was when I saw them in Target! YES, so excited that I had to buy ALL 3! Luckily they were only $1.99 per box!

Do you remember these? YUM!!

What are you missing from your childhood, that you wish they would bring back?

Once per year I allow my kids to be crazily addicted to sugar cereal...if not only for the Franken Berry and Boo Berry...I MIX THEM TOGETHER!!! Yummo!

Time for me to be the black sheep - I've never had any of those! From what I've been told, they only come out for Halloween. Maybe I should run to Target and get some.

Not that I need an excuse to run to Target - it's my home away from home!

Those look yummy. What do I want from my childhood not to have a worry in the world. To just get up and play and have fun...

Seriously my kids NEED those cereals. I miss the good old cartoons, like Snorks. I loved those little guys. And the gum that looked like crayons. Genius.

It is funny all of the things that were popular when we were little that are coming back now. I guess they aren't stupid, they know us silly parents with our nostalgia will run out and by it for our kids (or ourselves) because it is what we had. But like in your comment above, they have changed a lot of the things so they aren't quite right.

Hey Lisa, stopping by from SITS! We just had a "cereal day" at work and someone brought those in. Too fun. I think they always come out around Halloween actually. Nothing like special edition cereals. :)

Have an Extraordinary Day!

It's always awesome finding stuff from your childhood! All my fave cereals from when I was a kid are still around. What I miss are the 80s cartoons!

Okay, I'll have to admit that as a kid, my parents never let me get sugary cereal (slave drivers! just kidding). I remember going over to spend the night at friend's houses though and getting to eat their cereal for breakfast. Boo Berry was the best...and don't forget the Smurf Berry cereal!

I miss playing with dolls, and the barbie head where you could do her hair, and double dutch, and those hand slapping games, "Cinderella dressed in yella went upstairs to kiss her fella..."

There are loads of good memories of when I was a child though! I don't know where to start!

Oh too funny.... I just saw those in our local grocery store and thought about buying them... but then my kids were like ewww, we don't like them... WTF??? :-)

I gave The Girl my old Strawbeery Shortcake dolls and she was all like, "Wha?!?!? These dolls smell!" And I was like, "Doi! That's why they rock! Their pets smell too!" And I gave her the pink kitty, the turtle, and the bunny...

I loved childhood! And I TOTALLY torture my kids with things I grew up with!!!

funny, I have a friend - a 37 year old male, who is otherwise fairly normal. Every year when Count Chocula comes out he buys DOZENS, DOZENS AND DOZENS of boxes, he fills his ENTIRE pantry with JUST Count Chocula. If he catches you eating it, there is hell to pay, even his wife. He has a special bowl for it too. He will drive hundreds of miles to get more if the local market is out. It's a bit of a cult, or he's a bit of a freak :) hilarious.

Disney's cartoons. Those are great you have there.

LOL, Count Chocula was the only cereal I would eat in college! I would have a big bowl of that and then a salad. Memories!

I was so nuts for these cereals when I was a kid (probably because I was never allowed to have them). My husband bought a box of each for our girls this year, and it brought back so many memories! I'd have to say that Frankeberry is my fav! As far as things making a comeback, I wish that crackerjacks would do a limited edition; even if it was only once a year, where they put a decent toy in the box like the old days! The cute little charms were what made eating the burnt tasting molasses popcorn worthwile!
