The trunk had to be taped closed as the alignment was pushed off.
Poor little bumper.
This hole was caused by a hook think that was on the front of the truck. OUCH!
This is the inside of the truck. It accordioned Preliminary from the body shop is that there is frame damage. Could it be totally totalled? I don't know, should find out today.

The BF suffered some injuries to his shoulder and back and has been off work and in pain. I'd say we've been pretty lucky, doing this 2hr commute daily for two years with no incidents till now.
I like to think the glass is half full. It could have been worse.

Unfortunately, realizing that it could have been worse is probably the best you can do ;-) Sorry about your car!
Lisa, I'm sooooo sorry! You're right. It is hard to look at the glass half full in situations like this but it sounds like you really were lucky. My husband's a P.I. attorney and always says that you should see a doctor if you're in pain after an accident because if it doesn't clear up you need to have a paper trail—just something to think about. Hope the BF feels better soon.
So sorry about your car!! That stinks!! Glad your BF is okay though. Tequila can curb the pain a little bit... has he gotten to that point yet?? or have you with your car so ouchie??

holy jeez! i'm glad you guys are all okay!! I hope its not totalled!! i remember when i was 17and i totaled my car, the whole front hood was pushed in where the pole was. Definetly glass half full, good way to look at the bright side!
OH gosh, I'm glad that you were not badly hurt. I always try to think of the glass half full in these situations also. Getting angry just makes them worse.
Aw damn! That sucks. Good thing there were only minor injuries. Hope everything works out okay with your insurance. ♥

Wow, too bad about your car. I was once driving an old car and was rear ended. The gas tank fell out onto the pavement and the trunk flew open. I put the gas tank into the trunk, rewired it, and tied the trunk down with an old cable. I drove that car for a few weeks like that until my insurance money came in, then sold it to a friend of mine. She eventually abandoned it on a road when it quit for good. I was only 18 at the time.
